RIVA’s courses are suitable for all qualified health care professionals who provide travel health-related services. RIVA Health Training

Two Day Introduction to Immunisation

This two-day course is ideal for Registered Nurses, Healthcare Support Workers, Medics and Doctors, who are new to practice or require a comprehensive update on delivering immunisations. This course also meets Public Health England’s National Minimum Standards for Immunisation Training.

‘Newbies’ Two Day Immunisations Course

This course is ideal for healthcare staff who are new to immunisations and is open to all health professionals providing an immunisation service to the general public. It is in line with the requirements set down by the National minimum standards and core curriculum for Immunisation training for registered healthcare providers.

Immunisation
Update

The Immunisation and B12 Update course is open to all health professionals providing an immunisation service to the general public. During training, participants will revise the immune system and how vaccines work as well as consider current issues in immunisation and any changes to vaccine recommendations or national policy. There will also be time dedicated to a Q&A to discuss any problems encountered in practice.

Two Day Intro
to Travel Health

This engaging two day travel health course is suitable for all health professionals working providing a travel health service to the general public and for health care professionals who wish to run a gold standard travel clinic either within the NHS or privately. It brings together both novice and experienced professionals to enable a unique supportive and collaborative working approach.

Update

Our Travel Health Update course is designed and delivered in line with the RCN Travel health nursing, career and competence development. After partaking in this course you will be able to accurately identify which vaccine preventable diseases are endemic to any country in the world by memory! You will revisit and revise the current guidelines and standards of travel health care and discover any new developments in the field.

Immunisations Training For Occupational Health Nurses

The immunisation training is aimed at health professionals working in Occupational Health providing an immunisation health service to the general public or private company. The course focuses on Hep B, Flu, MMR, DTP, Typhoid, Varicella, and Hep A.

Primary Care Military Immunisation Training

This course is open to all health professionals providing an immunisation service to the general public. This course will provide you with an inspiring and comprehensive revision of immunity and how vaccines work and equip you with the confidence and knowledge to fully support parents and individuals in their engagement with the national vaccination schedule. The training also reviews current practice, recent vaccine incidents and identification of areas for improvement with a Q&A session for problems encountered in practice.
